Las Vegas could soon have some Raiders joining their Golden Knights on the strip.
The Oakland Raiders will file relocation papers with the NFL with the intention to move to Vegas, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The move has been a possibility for months and especially drew attention in the fall when a plan to build a new $1.9 billion NFL stadium and convention centre in Vegas was presented to Nevada lawmakers.
The team still needs 24 of the 32 owners to support the move. Per Rapoport, it is expected that they will vote on the measure in late March during the annual league meeting.
The news comes only a couple days after the San Diego Chargers announced that they would be relocating to Los Angeles next season.
