Commissioner Roger Goodell’s extension with the NFL is moving forward after a delay, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter says a source has informed him that the deal is “getting papered right now” and that the contract is “getting done,” though it could take weeks for an official announcement to be made.

Goodell has held his position with the league since 2006, earning upwards of $32 million in 2015.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reportedly slowed down negotiations, insisting that the compensation committee opens up their search for a commissioner, arguing that Goodell makes “way too much money.”
