Michael Sam is getting ready to compete again, but not in the NFL.

TMZ reports that Sam will be a contestant on the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars, which begins on March 16.

Sam, who was released by the Dallas Cowboys in 2014, has also expressed interest in participating in the NFL’s Veteran Combine which could interfere with filming.

The 25-year-old made headlines when he became the first openly gay man to be drafted in the NFL when the St. Louis Rams selected him in the seventh round with the 249th pick of the 2014 draft. Sam was cut by the Rams before the season and temporarily added the the Cowboys’ practice squad.

The remainder of the the contestants of the popular television program, as well as their professional-dancer partner, will be announced on February 24 on Good Morning America.

No doubt Sam will be hoping to repeat the success Emmitt Smith had on Season 3 of the show when he won the competition.
