The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship on Sunday, but the talk hasn’t been about the exciting Tom Brady versus Ben Roethlisberger quarterback matchup, or anything football-related for the matter.
Antonio Brown’s post-game antics have filled the headlines since the Steelers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round last Sunday. In case you missed it, the star wide receiver streamed a Facebook Live video for over 15 minutes while in the locker room celebrating the teams victory, essentially disrespecting his team, coach and creating a massive distraction.
But when he was set to take the podium to make amends for his selfish actions on Wednesday he left a room full of reporters waiting for an hour.
His tardiness was the result of a fresh new haircut he was getting somewhere in the Steelers practice facility.
After the delay, Brown took responsibility, made his apology and focus can now shift to the heavyweight bout between the Steelers and the Patriots on Sunday.
As to whether these social media incidents will end, Brown wasn’t exactly clear.
“I guess you’ve got to wait and see,” he said.
