Houston quarterback Brian Hoyer missed practice on Wednesday because of a concussion and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

Hoyer was injured in the third quarter of Houston’s game at Cincinnati on Monday night. T.J. Yates, who was signed on Oct. 28, helped lead the Texans to a 10-6 victory.

Yates will start on Sunday if Hoyer is unable to play. If Hoyer is out, the Texans will have to elevate Zac Dysert from the practice squad to back up Yates.

Also on Wednesday, receiver DeAndre Hopkins missed practice with a knee injury, but he should play on Sunday. Linebacker Jadeveon Clowney returned to practice after missing Monday’s game with a back injury.
