Texans’ Jadeveon Clowney out for game against Packers

HOUSTON — Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is out for game against the Green Bay Packers because of elbow and wrist injuries.

The Texans announced Saturday he’ll be sidelined for the first time this season and won’t travel with the team. Clowney has a career-high 12 tackles for losses.

Other Texans out against the Packers are running back Tyler Ervin (ribs), linebacker John Simon (chest) and wide receiver Jaelen Strong (ankle).

Questionable players are running back Alfred Blue (calf), linebacker Brian Cushing (back) and safety Andre Hal (illness).
