Texans sign first-round pick receiver Will Fuller

HOUSTON — The Houston Texans have signed receiver Will Fuller, who was the 21st overall pick in this year’s draft.

Fuller had 62 receptions for 1,258 yards and 14 touchdowns last season for Notre Dame. It was his second straight 1,000-yard receiving season after he had a career-high 76 receptions for 1,094 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2014. He had one receiving touchdown as a freshman to give him 30, second in school history.

The 6-foot, 184-pound Fuller wowed at the combine by running a 40-yard dash in 4.32 seconds. He joins an offence led by Pro-Bowl receiver DeAndre Hopkins and featuring new additions quarterback Brock Osweiler and running back Lamar Miller.

Terms of the deal were not released Tuesday.
