Manchester United was embarrassed in last year’s tournament, failing to make it out of the group stage behind Benfica and Swiss club F.C. Basel. The Red Devils added Dutch striker Robin van Perise and Japanese midfielder Shinji Kawaga to help solve their European and domestic woes. Turkish league champions Galatasaray should pose the biggest threat for Sir Alex and his boys, and based on last year’s result, anything is possible.
