GANANOQUE, Ont. -- The Canadian Tour announced on Thursday the addition of a new event in Eastern Ontario starting for the 2012 season.
The event will be called the Great Waterway Classic and will rotate between four courses.
"The Canadian Tour is thrilled to be coming to the Great Waterway Region for the next four years," said Canadian Tour commissioner and CEO Rick Janes in a statement. "The Great Waterway Classic will provide significant national and international exposure for the Great Waterway and Eastern Ontario communities on the whole."
Smuggler's Glen in Gananoque will host the inaugural Great Waterway Classic starting Sept. 3.
Upper Canada Golf Club in Morrisburg will host the tournament in 2013, followed by Loyalist Country Club in 2014 and Black Bear Ridge Golf Club in 2015.
