VIRGINIA WATER, England — Four of England’s top golfers will take turns hosting the British Masters when the event returns to the European Tour schedule this year.

Ian Poulter, Luke Donald, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood will rotate as tournament host, with Poulter taking this year’s British Masters to Woburn from Oct. 8-11.

The British Masters was last on the tour schedule in 2008. It increases the number of events staged in Britain in 2015 to seven.

European Tour chief executive George O’Grady says it "underlines the appetite among our membership for tournament golf in Britain."

Top-ranked Rory McIlroy and former British Open champion Paul Lawrie are also supporting events on the European Tour this year.
