Canada’s Henderson birdies last four, moves within two of lead at Rio

Canadian Brooke Henderson made quite a push at the end of Round 2 of the Olympic women’s golf tournament in Rio.

Henderson birdied each of the last four holes on Thursday to finish within two shots of the lead.

The Smiths Falls, Ont., native entered Thursday’s action five shots back of first-round leader Ariya Jutanugarn after she finished her opening round one-under.

Henderson is now 8-under for the tournament and trails Inbee Park, who shot five-under for the second day in a row.

Canada’s Alena Sharp is tied for 32nd place at 1-under.
