WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Canadian Brooke Henderson received the final sponsor exemption Wednesday to the LPGA Tour’s Kingsmill Championship next week.

The 17-year-old, from Smiths Falls, Ont., finished third two weeks ago in the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic in Daly City, California, and tied for 13th last week in the North Texas Shootout.

Henderson doesn’t have tour membership, so she is relying on sponsor exemptions and Monday qualifiers to get into events. Last year, she was denied a waiver to the LPGA Tour’s minimum age requirement of 18.
