BRASELTON, Ga. — Stacy Lewis is hosting a junior event this summer in Arkansas in which boys and girls will play with each other — and against each other.

The LPGA star hopes the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational will develop what she calls a "gender-blind respect" among golfers. It will be part of the American Junior Golf Association and played June 22-25 at Blessings Golf Club.

There will be mixed pairings and a boys and girls champion in the 54-hole event. Lewis said there also will be an overall team winner — boys versus girls — determined by adding the top eight scores from each gender’s division.

KPMG sponsors Lewis and Phil Mickelson. It also sponsors the Women’s PGA Championship, which will include a conference to bring together top female executives.
