BOISE, Idaho — Bill Lunde shot a career-low 10-under 61 for a share of the 36-hole lead with Zack Sucher at the Albertsons Boise Open on Friday.

Lunde dominated the Hillcrest course early in the day and posted his total of 15-under 127, also a career low. He was alone at the top for nearly eight hours until first-day leader Sucher posted a 4-under 67 to tie Lunde for first place.

Sucher had an 11-under 60 on Thursday and had a chance to take the outright lead, but missed a 7-foot birdie putt when he tried to putt around a spike mark that was directly between his ball and the hole.

"I had one on the line I wanted to play," Sucher said. "I thought we could go inside of it but I wasn’t comfortable with the line. If I hit it harder I would have made it."

Steven Alker, who opened with a 62, added a bogey-free, 5-under 66 and was 14-under 128.

Steve Wheatcroft (66) and Chase Wright (66) share fourth place, three off the lead. Duke’s Ryan Blaum (65) and Washington’s Nick Taylor (68) are four off the pace.
