Senators centre Jason Spezza will miss his third consecutive game with a groin injury. Spezza will not be in the lineup on Tuesday night when the Senators host the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Place.
The 24-year-old says there is no timetable for his return, saying he wouldn't rule out games later this week.
Mike Fisher did not participate in a brief practice on Monday morning in Ottawa. Fisher told the media he took the day off to rest and he will be in the lineup Tuesday night.
John Paddock did not announce his starting goalie for the game against the Leafs. Martin Gerber started both games of a home-and-home series with the Bruins on the weekend.
