OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Senators placed troubled goalie Ray Emery on waivers Friday, beginning the process to eventually buy out his contract.
The 25-year old Emery struggled last season both on and off the ice, going 12-13 with a 3.13 GAA and was accused of being a disruptive force in the locker room.
The Los Angeles Kings also placed goalie Dan Cloutier on waivers as well, presumably for the same purpose.
