Goaltender Brian Elliott will make his second straight start for the Ottawa Senators when they host the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night.

The Senators will continue to carry three goaltenders, as GM Bryan Murray indicated that the club would not make a roster move involving his goaltending for the next two or three days. There has been speculation that Martin Gerber will be placed on waivers, but Murray said he would likely not place anybody on the waiver wire until after Wednesday's game in Atlanta. Alex Auld will serve as Elliott's back-up on Tuesday night.

Meantime, Anton Volchenkov likely won't return to the lineup until after the All-Star game later this month. The defenseman has been out of the lineup with an upper body injury he suffered on January 3rd at Toronto. He went for an MRI this weekend in Ottawa and head coach Craig Hartsburg says that he will not require surgery for his injury, but he will likely be out of the lineup for the next couple of weeks - although no firm timetable has been established for him.
