1 1 Call it the February blahs, but Sharks appear to be sleepwalking through the month dropping three in a row.
2 2 Pop quiz: Who is ranked 12th in NHL scoring, tucked neatly between established stars Joe Thornton and Marian Hossa? If you guessed Bruins sophomore David Krejci, move to the head of the class.
3 3 Speaking of high-ranking scorers, Zack Parise and Patrik Elias are both in the top 10 (seventh, eighth respectively)... not bad for a team that is supposed to be all about defence.
4 4 A couple of ex-Pens came back to haunt their old team Sunday. Marian Hossa scored and Ty Conklin recorded the shutout in a 3-0 win over Sid's Kids.
5 5 Defenceman Mike Green is riding a six-game goal-scoring streak with seven goals in that span.
6 5 Four straight losses has coach Mike Keenan whipping his stick at practice and GM Darryl Sutter giving the Flames his two cents worth in the locker room.
7 7 Goaltending has suddenly become a question mark (so, what else is new?), but at least Jeff Carter is still firing on all cylinders.
8 8 After scoring in three straight games, Patrick Kane has just one goal in his last 18.
9 9 The Rangers drop four straight and suddenly there's talk of Sean Avery returning to the team. Kind of like throwing gasoline on a fire, huh?
10 13 The Hurricanes scored four power play goals to power themselves to a 7-2 win over Phoenix Saturday, their sixth win in eight games.
11 17 Mike Ribeiro has 15 points in 12 games since being called out by coach Dave Tippet.
12 12 The Sabres will have to do without top goal-scorer Thomas Vanek for the next 3-4 weeks after he broke his jaw Saturday in Ottawa.
13 10 Price is not right; Kovalev looks bored and Lang is injured. Ouch!
14 11 The Oilers remain inconsistent, all except defenceman Sheldon Souray who popped his 14th goal of the year on the weekend.
15 14 Jean-Sebastian Giguere recorded his first win since Jan. 11, beating Calgary 2-1 Saturday.
16 18 Mats Sundin comes to life with two goals and five points in two games – both Vancouver victories.
17 16 The Penguins are looking more and more like one of those teams that makes the final one year and misses the playoffs the next.

26 24 Milan Hejduk scored in four straight games before running into a hot goaltender in Chris Mason.
27 26 Mike Fisher scored the shootout winner Saturday to give coach Cory Clouston his first NHL victory.
28 28 GM Brian Burke rips goalie Vesa Toskala who responds with a victory over the Canadiens.
29 29 Bryan Little is enjoying a breakout season with 21 goals, but hasn't scored in his last eight games.
30 30 The Islanders enjoyed a season-best four-game winning streak before losing 3-2 to Florida.
