3 3 Marc Savard hasn't scored in nine games, although he does have eight helpers in that span.
4 5 Martin Brodeur returns from two months of inactivity and registers two shutouts in three games.
5 4 The Caps opened and closed the scoring against Florida Sunday. The only problem was the six goals they allowed in between.
6 6 Miikka Kiprusoff runs his record to 14-1-1 at home against the Minnesota Wild.
7 7 The Flyers activate Danny Briere, but continue to have salary cap issues.
8 8 Captain Jonathan Toews registers his first NHL hat trick in a 5-4 win over Pittsburgh.

20 19 The Ducks acquire puck-moving defenceman Ryan Whitney from Pittsburgh fueling speculation they'll move Chris Pronger at the trade deadline.
21 20 Three straight losses and still no contract extension for goalie Niklas Backstrom. Yikes!
22 24 The Blues have won four of their last five and there is lots of talk about Pronger returning to the team in a trade.
