Sami Salo arrived in Chicago, practiced on Wednesday morning, and then faced a media horde that wanted to know what it was that kept him our of most of Game 2, and all of Game  3.

What was his injury? An ankle? A groin?

"Maybe," he said, "It's just a burning sensation when you pee. You never know."

Huh?

Yes, even a playoff injury can be the source of humour for the oft-injured Canucks defenceman who blasted home the first goal of the night in Game 2, then went to the dressing room and never returned.

"We re-evaluate every morning and see how things are and go from there," he said. "We just felt that it was better to stay back home and do a little treatment. That's about it. There was really no other reason."

Will he play tomorrow? "There's always a chance for anything. We'll see how it is tomorrow and go from there."

We liked his first answer better.
