After being a healthy scratch in 14 consecutive playoff games, Petr Sykora might return to the lineup as the Pittsburgh Penguins face elimination Tuesday night in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final against the Detroit Red Wings.

Sykora was the hero when the Penguins faced elimination in Game 5 in last year's final, scoring in triple overtime to force a sixth game.

On Tuesday morning, Pittsburgh head coach Dan Bylsma said that Sykora would take the warm-up tonight and would be a game-time decision.

"Petr's exceptional skill is that he can put it in the net," said Bylsma of Sykora, who scored 25 goals during the regular season. "In a limited-role situation, if he were to get the puck on his stick, you would expect him to rip it and have a chance for it to go in. So that's why he would be appealing (for tonight)."

Sykora has registered just one assist in six post-season games this year, but hasn't dressed since Game 4 of their second-round series against Washington on May 4.

Detroit forward Justin Abdelkader, who has been out with the flu, skated Tuesday morning for first time since late last week. But head coach Mike Babcock intends on going with same lineup tonight as in Game 5 in Detroit, where the Wings won 5-0.
