NEW YORK -- Detroit winger Henrik Zetterberg is the NHL's first star of the week after leading the Red Wings to three consecutive victories.
Zetterberg led all scorers with four goals and five assists, and scored two game-winning goals in wins over the Vancouver Canucks and Anaheim Ducks. He notched his fourth career hat trick against the Ducks.
Thrashers winger Ilya Kovalchuk returned to action after missing six games with a foot injury to lead Atlanta to three wins, earning the second star of the week.
Kovalchuk scored three goals and added five assists -- second among NHL scorers. He's off to the fastest start of his eight-year NHL career with a club-leading 12 goals in his first 11 games.
Sabres goalie Ryan Miller was named the third star after posting a 3-0-0 record for the week to help Buffalo open up a five-point lead in the Northeast Division.
Miller finished the week with a 1.30 goals-against average and .953 save percentage.
