The Ottawa Senators might finally have some good news on the injury front as Nick Foligno might be ready to return to the line-up as early as Wednesday night.
The forward has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury on December 14 in Toronto. He underwent arthroscopic surgery a couple of days after the injury and has subsequently missed seven games.
Foligno will likely need to receive a final medical clearance before suiting up for Wednesday's game against Colorado but he has skated for the past three days without any issues.
The Senators have been hammered by injuries this month, as they have lost both Jason Spezza (knee) and Daniel Alfredsson (shoulder) for the next several weeks.
Forward Jarkko Ruutu did not participate in a brief practice on Tuesday, but head coach Cory Clouston said he should be available for Wednesday night's contest.
