Ottawa Senators forward Jesse Winchester is expected to miss at least one month with a knee injury suffered on Saturday night.
Winchester left Saturday's game in the second period after falling awkwardly behind the Florida Panthers net, immediately calling for the trainer to come onto the ice.
Senators head coach Cory Clouston said that Winchester did not suffer any serious knee damage, but he will be out of action for one month.
Meanwhile, defenseman Filip Kuba will also miss Sunday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes with an upper body injury. He left Saturday’s game after the second period.
Defenceman Alex Picard, who was a healthy scratch against the Panthers, will return to the lineup Sunday.
Shean Donovan will draw back into the lineup to replace Winchester up front.
Clouston made a slight change up front, putting Peter Regin with Alex Kovalev and Ryan Shannon. Mike Fisher centred a line with Nick Foligno and Chris Neil.
