1 1 Who would have dreamed that Cristobal Huet and Antti Niemi would be a dream goaltending tandem?
2 3 After going nine games without a goal, Devin Setoguchi popped a pair against Edmonton to give his team some important secondary scoring.
3 6 Make that six straight games with points for Alexander Ovechkin - a total of 14 points in that span including five in one game against Toronto.
4 4 Tim Connolly, who wasn't named to team USA for the Olympics, has points in 11 straight games.
5 2 The Beasts of the East got a little bit of a wake-up call in a trip out west.
6 12 With all the talk about the Colorado Avalanche and Phoenix Coyotes being surprise teams, has anybody checked where the Predators are in the overall standings lately?
7 7 After three straight games without a point, Evgeni Malkin scored against Vancouver.

14 14 There's lots of talk that the Bruins will get in on the Ilya Kovalchuk sweepstakes.
15 22 The upstart Islanders peel off three straight wins and suddenly there are whispers of the playoffs being a very real possibility.
16 18 The Sens welcome captain Daniel Alfredsson back and he rewards them with a goal and three points in a win over the Habs.
17 15 The Rangers get four points from Ryan Callahan to overcome a 2-0 deficit in a 6-2 win over Montreal.
18 21 The top line of Perry-Getzlaf-Ryan continues to be hot and goalie Jonas Hiller is giving his team a chance to win.
19 19 Guillaume Latendresse continues to be one of the league's hottest shooters with 16 goals and 19 points in 24 games with Minnesota.
20 17 Steve Ott scores the shootout winner against Detroit after spending most of the afternoon chirping at Todd Bertuzzi.
21 16 The Flyers were playing better for a while, but back-to-back losses is a reminder they aren't out of the woods yet.
22 25 Alex Steen has 10 points in 10 games including seven goals.
23 26 Veteran Cory Stillman is starting to light it up with six points in four games.
24 20 The Habs blew a 2-0 lead in losing 6-2 to the Rangers Sunday.
