ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Anaheim Duck centre Ryan Getzlaf underwent an MRI Tuesday afternoon on his sprained left ankle and the tests showed no significant ligament or muscle tears. Getzlaf is listed as day-to-day.

"My ankle feels much better today and I’m relieved the test showed no significant damage,” Getzlaf reporters after the tests. “My goal is to return to the ice this week for the Ducks, and I look forward to joining Team Canada for the Olympics on Monday."

Getzlaf scored his 15th goal earlier in Monday's game against the Los Angeles Kings before spraining his ankle and hobbling to the bench, apparently getting hurt behind the play. He didn't return to action.

Getzlaf has 57 points in 55 games for the Ducks, earning his Olympic selection alongside Canadian teammates Scott Niedermayer and Corey Perry, who had a goal and two assists in Anaheim's 4-2 win over the Kings, their 10th straight victory at home.
