The Leafs have become a younger team, but the question remains how much different they are from that Jan. 31 roster that was ineffective and ultimately dismantled.

The new, youth-filled Leafs certainly proved over two games this weekend that the foundation for a new culture – and a possible return to the playoffs next season – is firmly in place.

Toronto lost 3-1 to Philadelphia here Sunday night, but those youngsters were just as energetic and truculent as they were in a solid 2-1 win in Ottawa the night before.
