The Maple Leafs shakeup hasn't been limited to the organization's on-ice employees.

The team recently parted ways with Jeff Jackson, the team's assistant general manager and director of hockey operations.

"Jeff did a good job but he wants to move up in the organization and it's a situation where he didn't think that was going to be the case," Dave Nonis, the Leafs' seniour vice president of hockey operations said Sunday. "He met with (GM Brian Burke) and they decided it was best he move on."
