Leafs' Sjostrom back at practice after injury absence
March 18, 2010 | Source: Toronto Star
Fredrik Sjostrom rejoined the Maple Leafs at practice Wednesday and is expected to be in the lineup Thursday night when the New Jersey Devils visit the Air Canada Centre.
It will be the first action for the winger since he injured his shoulder on March 6 during a game at Ottawa. Sjostrom, acquired in the trade with Calgary that brought Dion Phaneuf to Toronto, missed six games with the injury. In seven games with the Leafs, Sjostrom has yet to score but does have two assists.
Sjostrom skated on the Leafs' fourth line at practice with Wayne Primeau and Rickard Wallin but that won't necessarily be where he is inserted Thursday night. Usual fourth-line winger Colton Orr sat out practice for a body-maintenance day but he is also expected to be in the lineup against the Devils.
