Daymond Langkow remained on the ice for nearly 10 minutes before leaving.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Calgary Flames centre Daymond Langkow is in good condition at a local hospital after being hit in the back of the neck with a puck during a 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild Sunday.

The team said Langkow has movement in all his extremities and was undergoing X-rays and more tests.

Langkow was not moving as he was removed from the ice on a stretcher. The 13-year veteran remained on the ice for nearly 10 minutes before leaving. He was injured at 5:20 of the second period of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Wild.

He was being kept in the hospital overnight as a precaution since there was some temporary paralysis. He will undergo some tests but is expected to be released Monday.

Langkow was checked from behind by Minnesota defenceman Greg Zanon and hit Wild defenceman Marek Zidlicky as he lost his balance and fell forward. With Langkow's head down as he fell, Calgary defenceman Ian White fired toward the net and hit his teammate.
