The Dallas Stars found a way to win a home game Saturday afternoon, but their playoff chances remain on life support.

They rallied from a second-period deficit and held off the Ottawa Senators, 5-4, before an announced crowd of 17,110 at American Airlines Center.

Brad Richards scored two goals, and defenseman Trevor Daley had the game-winner 4:33 into the third period to help the Stars survive a bad start and finish to the opening period and a hat trick by Ottawa center Jason Spezza.
