The Ottawa Senators' Chris Phillips and Jason Spezza say they will decline invitations if asked to play for Team Canada at the upcoming World Championships.

Phillips said his body needs time to rest, while Spezza cited needing to spend time with his wife, who is expecting the couple's first child.

Meantime, Mike Fisher says he has not been contacted by Team Canada's GM Mark Messier. Fisher says he is unsure of what decision he will make, but is waiting to hear from Messier.
