'The money game'

VANCOUVER — So Canucks fans, what do you think of these lines:
Daniel-Henrik-Burrows
Raymond-Kesler-Grabner
Hansen-Wellwood-Samuelsson
Glass-Johnson-Bernier
What does it tell us about Alain Vigneault’s approach to the problems that cost his team Game 2 and 3? Well, we’ll have to draw our own conclusions, because Vigneault wouldn’t even confirm the lines at his morning news conference.
Pavol Demitra out — it had to happen. They’ll likely say he’s got a shoulder injury, but we’re thinking the real injury is just below the shoulder, and a bit to the left. Demitra has suffered from pulmonary omission for some time. Now it’s all hands on deck for the Canucks – no room for passengers.
Rick Rypien out, Tanner Glass in — Rypien’s the tougher fighter, but Glass gets to the hit quicker. This unit looks like a line that is going to see six or seven minutes tops tonight, but if Bernier can follow Glass’ lead, they might leave a few marks on Chicago defencemen.
On the whole, Vigneault looks to be attacking the Hawks with speed and skill. He won’t be suckered into playing a different game than the one that got the Canucks this far.
But he needs all his soldiers tonight. Alex Burrows and Ryan Kesler are at the top of that list, by our way of thinking.

Daniel Sedin’s four-year-old daughter Ronja had a few questions for her pappa after he got into it with Dave Bolland in Game 3.
"I explained to her, it’s not a good thing to go to the box. She saw me sitting there, so she wasn’t too happy," Daniel laughed Friday morning. "I couldn’t tell my daughter what I said to him."
What about uncle Henrik? He’s in the box all the time.
"That’s for hooking," Daniel said.
In the other dressing room, Dave Bolland has become the most hated man in Sweden since Tiger Woods.
"I’ve heard from a lot of people that none of those (Sedin) guys have ever snapped like that," Boland laughed. "I don’t know what I did. Guess he just got fed up with me."
"I know what it was," said Mikael Samuelsson, who was on the ice at the time. He wouldn’t say, of course.
It was a stick foul of some kind, a well-placed jab or slash by Bolland that no one is owning up to. But even for well-heeled Swedish kids like Samuelsson and the Sedins, ghetto rules apply when it comes to ratting out an opponent in one of these situations.
"First of all, it’s not a huge thing, but I like what Danny did," Samuelsson said. "Enough is enough. ‘If you’re going to do that to me, I’m going to respond.’"
Is Bolland dirty?
"No, no dirtier than anyone else."
Consider that a compliment.

Big Dustin Byfuglien couldn’t help it. On another beautiful West Coast day, he went for a walk on the streets of Vancouver, despite being public enemy No. 1 here.
"I walked around for a little bit, had the head phones on. Hat way down, sunglasses on, just walkin’," he said. "Actually, an older lady chased me down for a while yesterday. It was pretty funny. She just pulled on my shirt, wanted to say hi and tell me what a good job I did (in Game 3)."
Does he expect as clear a path to the net tonight?
"I don’t think it’s probably going to be as easy. I still have to find my way to get there."

Adam Burish has never met a microphone he didn’t like. And we like that about him.
"I don’t know what approach they want," he said of the Canucks. "I heard someone say, ‘We’re going to run Niemi.’ Well, go do it. This is hockey. We’re all men in here. We can handle it."
The series could turn on Game 4 — if Chicago wins.
"This is kind of the money game here tonight," he agreed. "You win this one, you put yourself in a pretty darned good spot. We feel like we have some momentum in here, and in playoffs it’s about keeping that momentum. If we can capture it early and try to hold on to it, we can put ourselves in a pretty good spot."
