Being a Brampton kid living among a sea of Leaf fans, Tyler Seguin knows all too well that he might have been looking forward to his first NHL camp as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Alas, the Leafs traded that pick — and their first-round pick next summer — for Phil Kessel, and Seguin went No. 2 overall in June to the Boston Bruins.

"I get reamed all the time by the press and buddies for not playing for the Leafs," said Seguin. "I think it worked out for the best in the end. It wasn't meant to be."
