Ah, the first week of the NHL season. Nobody ever won the Stanley Cup in Week 1, but there's no denying getting off to a good start can be very encouraging, especially for teams such as the Toronto Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers who were not expected to accomplish much this year.
