Jason Pominville skated with his teammates for a second straight practice on Friday morning, but the Buffalo Sabres forward is still not close to returning to game action.
Pominville will undergo a neuro-psych test early next week to determine if he is symptom-free from a concussion he suffered on Oct. 11th when he was checked into the boards by Chicago's Niklas Hjalmarsson. If Pominville passes the test, he will be cleared to return to contact drills with his teammates.
"It's getting better, I'm getting closer. I'm able to increase my workload each time," said Pominville, who reported no issues after his session on Friday morning at the HSBC Center.
Pominville had his ironman streak of 336 consecutive games snapped when the injury took place. He was held pointless in three games so far this season and has missed four consecutive games with this injury.
