The Montreal Canadiens have signed defenceman Frederic St-Denis to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2011-2012 season.

In 2010-2011, St-Denis registered 23 points (five goals, 18 assists) and 34 penalty minutes along with a plus-16 rating in 76 games with the Bulldogs.

The 5-foot-11, 193-pound defenceman has played in 142 regular season games with the ‘Dogs from 2008-2011, recording 42 points (nine goals, 33 assists).

The 25-year-old native of Greenfield Park, Quebec was signed to a one-year contract by the Canadiens as a free agent on July 1st, 2010.
