The Ottawa Senators have re-signed forward Kaspars Daugavins to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Wednesday.

Daugavins, 23, spent the entire 2010-11 season with the Senators' American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. In 73 games with Binghamton, he scored 19 goals and added 35 assists. He played in played in 23 post-season games, finishing in a tie for sixth in team playoff scoring with 20 points, including 10 goals, while helping Binghamton capture its first Calder Cup.

The native of Riga, Latvia, was held scoreless in his one career National Hockey League game with Ottawa. In 170 career AHL contests with the B-Sens, he has registered 42 goals and 63 assists.

Daugavins has represented his native Lavia at the IIHF World Hockey Championship on four occasions and also at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Daugavins was Ottawa's second third-round pick (91st overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
