Kuba out 3-4 weeks with shoulder injury
The Ottawa Senators have placed Filip Kuba on the injured reserve list and the defenceman is expected to miss the next three to four weeks with a shoulder injury.
Kuba suffered the injury Nov. 29 in Winnipeg when he was checked into the boards in the first period. He has missed the last three games since the injury and probably won't return to the lineup this month.
The Sens will have some help on the blueline as Matt Carkner will re-join the team on Thursday in New Jersey. Carkner has missed the entire season to date with a knee injury and is currently on a rehab assignment in Binghamton. While Carkner will re-join the Senators on Thursday, he's not expected to face the Devils.
Head coach Paul MacLean indicated that it was more likely that Carkner returns to the lineup on Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks.
