Ottawa Senators forward Jesse Winchester suffered a concussion after he was hit by Buffalo Sabres forward Paul Gaustad in the first period of Tuesday night's game.

No further status update was given after the game, other than Paul MacLean confirming "he's concussed."

Winchester has two goals and five assists in 27 games this season.
