Up and down for Gardiner
TORONTO-- A day after being sent down to the AHL's Toronto Marlies, Jake Gardiner is back skating with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 21-year-old defenceman was practicing with the big club Monday, despite not dressing in the Leafs past four home games.
Gardiner is averaging 20 minutes and 32 seconds of ice time in 37 NHL games this season and has notched 10 assists in that span.
The Maple Leafs next play on Tuesday night, when they host the red-hot Ottawa Senators at the Air Canada Centre.
