Alexander Ovechkin is well known for his sense of humour and general antics on and off the ice.

He may have outdone himself this time though. Ovechkin appears in a Russian music video where he is dancing, singing and even rapping. It reminds you of the good old days when Alexander the Great was sniping highlight goals and celebrating like each one was his last.

Without further ado, here are a few past Ovechkin stories to remind us the funny and sometimes erratic person he is.

-With the all-star game coming up in Ottawa on Jan. 29th, who can forget his famous breakaway at the end of the Skills Competition three years ago in Montreal? Ovechkin was outfitted with a fisherman’s hat from teammate Evgeni Malkin complete with a Canadian flag, as well as a pair of sunglasses and an extra stick. He then proceeded to ditch one of his sticks at the last minute and score, sending the fans to their feet.

-Two years later in Raleigh, he carried the puck into the zone with the butt-end of his stick like a ringette player, dropping to his knees before getting back up after Marc-Andre Fleury went down and calmly tucked it into the back of the net.

-Like Kim Jong-Il, Alexander Ovechkin also has an unbelievable story on the golf course. After missing the ball completely on his first dozen or so shots ever in his life, it is said that he made the request for a longer club. He then proceeded to record a hole-in-one on a 160-yard par three.
