Patrick Kane is disappointed at Buffalo Sabres fans who are criticizing Ryan Miller.

The Chicago Blackhawks forward, who was a Sabres fan growing up, talked to Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News about the team's recent struggles.

"I still think the fans get on Miller a little bit too much back in Buffalo. He's definitely the guy there," Kane said. "He's not having the kind of season he wanted to and maybe things are getting caught up in everything back there.

"I think they can be a good team. They've got everything in place to do well."

Kane, who was a U.S. teammate with Miller at the Vancouver Olympics, said he hopes Miller and his hometown team can get back on track.

"I think they can be a good team," Kane explained. "They've got everything in place to do well. You want them to do well, especially being from there ... I know a lot of people who root for the Sabres. It's a city that deserves the team to do well."

Miller continues to struggle as the former all-star goalie ranks 40th in the league in save percentage and 42nd in goals-against average.

Kane and the Blackhawks take on Miller and the struggling Sabres Wednesday night in Chicago.

"Hopefully we can make it even worse for them and get a win against them."
