Glencross injured in loss to Sharks
The Calgary Flames may have to finish up their current road trip without one of their main offensive weapons.
Forward Curtis Glencross was seen wearing a knee brace following Calgary’s 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night.
Glencross left the game early in the second period and didn't return after being slammed against the boards by Sharks defenceman Brent Burns. The Flames' leading scorer limped off the ice, suffering an undisclosed lower-body injury.
Calgary coach Brent Sutter briefly touched on the injury, saying that it will be assessed on a ‘week to week’ basis.
Glencross has been a big part of Calgary's offence this season and is well on his way to having a career year, accumulating 33 points (18 goals, 15 assists) in 45 games.
Tuesday’s loss in San Jose was the first game of a three-game road trip for the Flames. The team takes on the Los Angeles Kings Thursday night before wrapping up against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
