NEW YORK -- Zdeno Chara will see some familiar faces behind the bench at the NHL all-star game.

Claude Julien and his Boston staff will handle coaching duties for Chara's team at the league's showcase event Jan. 29 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Julien will be joined by Bruins' assistants Doug Houda, Doug Jarvis and Geoff Ward.

The NHL also announced Friday that John Tortorella of the New York Rangers and Todd McLellan of the San Jose Sharks will guide the team led by Daniel Alfredsson of the host Senators.

Julien and his staff received all-star consideration for leading Boston to last year's Stanley Cup title. Tortorella and McLellan earned the nod after guiding their clubs to top spot in their respective conferences through the midway point of the regular season.

Chara and Alfredsson were named captains of the all-star teams earlier this week and will pick their teams in a draft on Jan. 26.
