Sharks acquire Kennedy

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Tim Kennedy in a trade with Florida that sends defenseman Sean Sullivan to the Panthers.

The Sharks have assigned Kennedy to top development affiliate Worcester in the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Kennedy has split the season between Florida and San Antonio of the AHL. He posted two points in 27 games with Florida and nine points with three goals in 18 games for San Antonio.

The 27-year-old Sullivan was second among Worcester defensemen this season with 24 points -- five goals and 19 assists -- in 32 games.
