Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins missed Monday's practice with the flu, but the team expects to have the rookie back next week according to Sportsnet's Gene Principe.

Nugent-Hopkins injured his left shoulder in a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Jan. 2. He has 13 goals and 35 points in 38 games this season.

The Oilers currently sit 14th in the West with 41 points.

The team is back in action Tuesday night as they host the Colorado Avalanche.
