TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs have sent forward Nazem Kadri and defenceman Keith Aulie to the American Hockey League.
The moves come with John-Michael Liles and Colby Armstrong each ready to return to the lineup following long injury absences.
Kadri's most recent run with the Maple Leafs lasted 17 games. He had four goals and an assist during that period.
Aulie started the season with the AHL Marlies before being recalled in November. He had one assist in 15 games with the Leafs.
It appears as though Liles and Armstrong will each suit up for Wednesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
A neck injury has sidelined Liles since Dec. 22 while Armstrong has missed 18 games with a concussion.
