Gibson records first-career shutout for Marlies

TORONTO – Christopher Gibson stopped all 25 shots his way for his first-career shutout as the Toronto Marlies blanked the visiting Hamilton Bulldogs 4-0 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Matt Frattin, Brad Ross, Spencer Abbott and Troy Bodie supplied the scoring for the Marlies (11-15-4), who snapped a three-game skid, while Petter Granberg and Greg McKegg tacked on two assists apiece.

Mike Condon turned away 29-of-33 shots for the Bulldogs (14-12-5).

Toronto went 1 for 4 on the power play while Hamilton failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
