The Chilliwack Bruins earned a surprising win in Vancouver on Wednesday -- and how easily they did it was an even bigger shock.

David Robinson scored two goals and added an assist as the Bruins upset the Giants 6-1 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday night.

The Bruins (10-12-4) posted only their second win at the Pacific Coliseum since entering the league in 2006-07. It was only their fourth win in 32 all-time meetings with the Giants.

Ryan Howse had a goal and an assist and went plus-four on the night. Mitch McColm, Jamie Crooks, and Shane Neigum also scored for the Bruins, 1-3 against the Giants this season, before a stunned crowd of 5,673.

Brendan Gallagher tallied for the Giants (15-8-3), who suffered their second straight one-sided home loss after being shut out Sunday by Seattle.

The Giants outshot the Bruins 25-23, but had few dangerous scoring chances.

Chilliwack went 1-for-7 on the power play while Vancouver was 1-for-6.

In other WHL action Wednesday, it was: Calgary 2 Moose Jaw 1 (OT); Brandon 5 Swift Current 4; Prince Albert 3 Lethbridge 0; Portland 4 Kelowna 2; and Everett 4 Kamloops 3 (SO).

At Vancouver, the Bruins led 1-0 after the first and 3-0 after the second.

The game got off to spirited start as Vancouver's James Henry fought Robinson 14 seconds after the opening face-off. But the Giants didn't show much spirit afterwards.

McColm gave Chilliwack a 1-0 lead midway through the first period as his shot from the blue-line bounced in off Vancouver defenceman Dillon Scholten. The lead stood up as the Bruins controlled play but missed on a number of good scoring chances.

Chilliwack outshot Vancouver 10-4 in the first 20 minutes.

Crooks put the Bruins ahead 2-0 on a power play at 7:01 of the second as he buried Jesse Craige's rebound behind Vancouver goaltender Jamie Tucker. The goal came while Henry was off for interference.

With the clubs playing four-on-four, Howse scored a highlight-reel goal at 10:38 as he took the puck away from Kevin Connauton at the Chilliwack blue-line, raced in on goal with the Vancouver defenceman on his heels, and beat Tucker with a high wrist shot to give the Bruins a 3-0 advantage.

Chilliwack's Tim Traber was injured after Vancouver captain Lance Bouma upended him into the photographers' area between the benches late in the second. The Bruins defenceman later returned to action.

Gallagher finally put the Giants on the scoreboard during a power play at the one-minute mark of the third. The goal came while Robinson was serving a checking from behind penalty that he took at the end of the second.

Robinson atoned for his miscue by setting up Neigum for a key insurance marker at 3:29. About five minutes later, Robinson scored a goal similar to Howse's marker -- with Connauton again in pursuit -- to increase Chilliwack's lead to 5-1. Robinson scored again to round out the scoring with 1:13 left.

Hitmen 2 Warriors 1 (OT)= At Moose Jaw, Sask., Michael Stone's second goal of the game 2:24 into overtime lifted Calgary past the Warriors.

Martin Jones stopped 27 shots to preserve the win for the Hitmen (19-6-0).

Brenden Walker, Michael Ferland and Mark Schneider added singles for the Wheat Kings (14-10-2).

Justin Dowling had a pair of goals for Swift Current (12-11-2), while Derek Claffey and Brad Hoban also scored.

Ryan Harrison, Brandon Herrod and Craig McCallum scored for the Raiders (12-11-3).

Brandon Anderson made 26 saves in defeat for Lethbridge (8-14-3).

Jacob Berglund and Nino Niederreiter also had goals for the Winterhawks (16-8-0).

Geordie Wudrick and Tyson Barrie countered for Kelowna (11-12-1).

Jimmy Bubnick had two goals and Mark Hall also scored for Everett (13-6-1).

Tyler Maxwell scored twice and Dan Iwanski added a single in regulation for the Blazers (10-12-3).
